Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is a one day course which will enable you to act as an 'Appointed Person' in relation to First Aid in the workplace.
The course covers:
- Responsibilities
- Actions in an emergency
- Primary survey
- Secondary assessment
- The respiratory system
- Resuscitation (CPR)
- Disorders of respiration
- Disorders of the circulation
- Wounds and bleeding
- Epilepsy
- Minor burns and scalds
- Foreign objects
Students will receive a course manual included in the price.
This is a one day course.
Successful students will receive a level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate from an Ofqual recognised awarding body. This is valid for 3 years.

First Aid at work Level 3
This is a more in depth course than the Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate. It qualifies the successful student to be a 'First Aider'. This for individuals or companies who have identified they require a slightly greater level of knowledge from their risk assessments.
It is a 3 day course with a minimum of 18 hours classroom training. It can be carried out in shorter sessions over a maximum 10 week period if this is more suitable for the needs of your company.
It covers the same subjects as the Emergency First Aid certificate:
- Legislation
- Regulation
- Actions in an emergency
- Primary survey
- Secondary Assessment
- The respiratory system
- Resuscitation (CPR)
- Disorders of respiration
- Disorders of the circulation
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Epilepsy
- Minor burns and scalds
- Foreign objects
This course also covers:
- Bones, joints and muscle injuries
- Head and Spinal injuries
- Chest and abdominal injuries
- Specialised burn injuries (eg chemical burns)
- Eye injuries
- Poisoning
- Anaphylaxis
- Major illnesses
Students will receive a course manual included in the price.
Successful students will receive a Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate from an Ofqual recognised awarding body. This is valid for 3 years.

First Aid at Work Re-qualification (2 Day) Level 3
This covers the same syllabus as the First Aid at Work course and is for people who already hold an existing First Aid at Work certificate but need to renew it for a further 3 years.
Participants will be required to provide proof of their existing certificate at the start of the course.
Students will receive a course manual included in the price.
Successful students will receive a full First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years.

First Aid at Work Annual Refresher Level 3
This is a 3 hour course for people who hold a current First Aid at Work certificate and wish to refresh their skills in between undertaking the full 3 yearly re-qualification course.
It is not a legal requirement to participate in these refreshers but we recommend you attend to maintain your skills and confidence in this subject.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid Level 3
This 1 day course is designed for people who work with children such as teachers, or have play areas on their premise. It is NOT an Ofsted approved certificate though so if your business requires this please see our Level 3 Paediatric First Aid course.
This course content is essentially the same as the first half of the full course.
This covers:
- The role of the Paediatric First Aider
- Primary Survey
- Secondary Assessment
- Resuscitation (CPR) and Epilepsy
- Airway obstruction
- Wounds, Bleeding and Shock
- Bites and Stings
Students will receive a course manual included in the price
Successful students will receive an Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate that is valid for 3 years. To re-qualify students will have to retake this course

Paediatric First Aid Level 3
This is a 2 day course which is ideal for teachers, nursery staff, childminders etc. It is an Ofsted and Early years Foundation Stage (EYFS) recognised course and can be used as evidence towards the NVQ in Childcare and Education.
It covers the same subjects as the Emergency Paediatric course:
- Role of the Paediatric First Aider
- Primary Survey
- Secondary assessment
- Resuscitation (CPR) and Epilepsy
- Airway Obstruction (Choking)
- Wounds, Bleeding and Shock
- Bite and stings
The course also covers:
- Bone, joint and muscle injuries

Students will receive a course manual included in the price
Successful students will receive a Paediatric First Aid certificate valid for 3 years on completion of the course. To re-qualify students will need to retake this course after 3 years.

CPR and Defibrillation (AED) Level 2
This 6 hour course will teach how to safely use a defibrillator. For companies who have Defibrillator (AED) units on their premises it is an essential course to ensure their staff are confident and competent to use them if the need arises. The course would also suit anyone who wishes to enhance their current First Aid or Paediatric First Aid Training.

Immediate management of anaphylaxis Level 3
Anaphylaxis is a severe and potentially life threatening allergic reaction. Also known as Anaphylactic shock.
HSE regulations state that employers who have staff that are at risk of this and carry an auto-injector (epipen) must carry out a risk assessment.
It is a 6 hour course that covers:
- What is anaphylaxis and the legal position on the use of adrenaline
- Triggers
- Life threatening conditions
- Early recognition
- Treat for anaphylaxis
- Key features of Auto Injectors
- Initial assessment of patient
- CPR
- Recognition of anaphylaxis and using an auto injector
- Disposal of sharps
Successful students will receive a Level 3 Immediate management of anaphylaxis certificate valid for 3 years on completion of course.

Administration of Oxygen Therapy Level 3
This course offers additional knowledge to First Aiders who have access to Oxygen therapy equipment in their place of work. People wishing to enhance their current level of First Aid training would also benefit from this course.

Defibrillation (AED) awareness
Defibrillators save lives. Following a cardiac arrest, the patient's chances of survival are greatly increased by utilising a defibrillator as soon as possible.
Automated External Defibrillators (AED) are becoming common in more public places, this course introduces you to what a defibrillator is, how it works and how to use it.
This isn't a certified course but will give you the confidence to know what to do if the worst happens.
This course has a minimum booking of 4 people and a maximum of 12. It is ideal for groups who use facilities such as village halls where public defibrillators are in place.
